Unlike Memorial Day, Veterans Day honors all veterans, living or deceased, who served our country honorably during war or peacetime. It provides a special opportunity to thank our living veterans, and while Willow Valley has done this through the uplifting messages of speakers in the past, this year we wil highlight their service in another way— through music.

In addition to awarding our veterans Quilts of Valor, Willow Valley wil present a memorable musical tribute sure to elicit pride ni our country and a nostalgia for bygone eras. Metropolitan Opera soprano Danielle Talamantes and US Army Chorus (ret) MSG Kerry Wilkerson, bass-baritone will perform a program of vocal selections honoring our nation’s veterans, including favorites by Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Duke Ellington.
