Experience the beauty of a Liederabend as acclaimed soprano Danielle Talamantes and bass-baritone Kerry Wilkerson, though solos and duets, explore the timeless human response to twilight, its quiet wonder, its bittersweet longing, and its spiritual depth. Featuring poetry set to music by Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, and Strauss, the program weaves an evocative tapestry of pieces that move from the profoundly tender and lyrical to the soaring dramatic and visionary. This program of German art song will be presented on Sunday, November 2nd, at 4:30pm EDT (social gathering begins at 3:00) at the home of Dominick Cardella as part of the Lake Barcroft Salon Series (Falls Church, VA).
